Child Safety Standards

Our Commitment

TherapyScope has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page is our published standard on the subject. It applies everywhere our products reach — this website, the provider portal, and our mobile applications — and to everyone who uses them.

TherapyScope is a professional network for licensed mental health providers. It is not intended for use by children, and accounts are limited to verified adult professionals. That does not make this standard unnecessary: our members work with minors, discuss cases, and publish content, so we state plainly what is prohibited and what we do about it.

What Is Prohibited

The following are banned from TherapyScope without exception, whether in a profile, a listing, a message, a submission, a comment, or any other content or conduct on our services:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any depiction of a minor in a sexualized manner, real or generated.
• Sexualizing, soliciting, or grooming a minor, including any attempt to arrange sexual contact with one.
• Trafficking, extortion, or sextortion involving a minor.
• Advertising, requesting, linking to, or trading such material, and using our services to direct anyone toward it.
• Using clinical, educational, or professional framing as cover for any of the above.

Violating this standard costs the account. We remove the content, terminate the account, preserve the relevant records, and report to the appropriate authorities.

How to Report

If you encounter CSAE anywhere on TherapyScope, report it. You do not need an account to do so, and you do not need to be certain — report it and let us investigate.

• In our apps and portal: use the report control on the post, listing, job, or event in question, and say in the details that the report concerns a child.
• By email: support@therapyscope.com — mark the subject line Child Safety so it is routed immediately.
• From this site: our contact form.

Reports about child safety are prioritized ahead of our normal queue. We act on credible reports promptly and, where the law requires it, preserve material rather than simply deleting it.

If a Child Is in Immediate Danger

Do not wait for us. Contact law enforcement first.

• United States — emergency: call 911.
• NCMEC CyberTipline: report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678 — the national clearinghouse for reports of child sexual exploitation.
• Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline: childhelphotline.org or 1-800-422-4453, staffed 24/7.
• Outside the United States: the INHOPE network lists reporting hotlines by country.

Our Legal Obligations

We comply with applicable CSAE laws in the jurisdictions where we operate. Apparent child sexual abuse material found on our services is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and we respond to lawful requests from law enforcement.

Many of our members are mandated reporters under their own state licensure. Nothing on this page replaces those obligations — reporting something to TherapyScope does not discharge a mandated reporter’s duty to report it to the authorities their license requires.
